Perspective – Part 2

A few weeks ago I posted about all of the darkness and mean-spirited dialogue in our community, and many of you responded that the post and the video made a positive difference in your day.

SO – with that in mind. Here’s perspective – part 2

This weekend I’ve been away from my family in Knoxville, Tennessee performing with my friends from Trio Sonora. While our gracious hosts have been wonderful, and I really enjoy playing with the guys, I’m reminded how much I LOVE (and miss) my sweet wife, and awesome kids!!!

I think that I take them for granted.

I wonder if I am a good enough husband and father. I often feel that I am not enough for them. That if, somehow, I was greater . . . Well, that’s what they really need!

I saw another video recently that changed my mind about that. Now, I can ALWAYS be better, but Nick Vujicic reminded me that I should love who I am, and love life!!! And not to sweat the small stuff.

About rbedont

I'm a husband, father, and brother. I'm a professional musician, teacher, and doctoral student. That sounded like those "I'm a Mormon" commercials. Oh ya, I'm one of those too. I like to cook - it's much cheaper than going to a shrink. I envision this blog as a hodgepodge of all of those things, plus some shenanigans.
