The Holiday season is such a wonderful time! I particularly enjoy that so many world religions have sacred holidays around the winter solstice. This makes this time of year especially meaningful for so many people.

Tonight We’re traveling to Mesa to see the Lights at the LDS Temple. We are lucky to live so close to a Temple. We’re also lucky to have Martin and Abbie Van Klompenberg join us! Tomorrow we’ll go see the lights at Winterhaven – a fun Tucson tradition.

Next week my family will celebrate Christmas, then pack up our belongings and move to Salt Lake City. I am sad to leave the many friends and neighbors that we have in Tucson, but also excited to begin a new chapter in my life.

But for now, we celebrate the Babe of Bethlehem. We celebrate his humble life, and loving teachings. I hope that I can strive to be more like Him.

Here is a video of The Piano Guys performing Carol of the Bells to help you get into the holiday mood!

About rbedont

I'm a husband, father, and brother. I'm a professional musician, teacher, and doctoral student. That sounded like those "I'm a Mormon" commercials. Oh ya, I'm one of those too. I like to cook - it's much cheaper than going to a shrink. I envision this blog as a hodgepodge of all of those things, plus some shenanigans.
